Greater Oklahoma City Parks & Trails Foundation is teaming up with the National Park Service for a First Day Walk through Scissortail Park. In addition to the walk, the event will also celebrate the first noon of 2026 with a “Happy Noon Year” celebration. The event is co-sponsored by Oklahoma City Parks & Recreation, Oklahoma City Community Foundation, Landrunners OKC, and Scissortail Park. First Day Walk welcomes everyone, including children of all ages and dogs. Dogs must be on leash for the event. Parking will be provided north of Scissortail Park, courtesy of Midtown Renaissance.
